Angie Flinn
was honored with the Outstanding Club Website award.
Out of over 150 clubs throughout North Texas and Western
Louisiana, our site was selected as the best for the

"When we set out to build our new club website this
year, President Kerrie Phillips challenged me to win the
Outstanding Club Website award," says Angie. "This
is not only a tremendous honor for me, but I feel as
though I successfully accomplished what I was tasked to
do. This award isn't really for me ... it's for
our entire club!"

Lennox International
Toastmasters named President's Distinguished
Club for 2006-2007 The Distinguished
Club Plan measures the health and well-being of a club.
It involves ten goals which encompass things a healthy
club will do as it meets the needs of its members.
Educational completions in the communication and
leadership tracks, membership growth, having trained
officers, and keeping the club's charter in good
standing with Toastmasters International ... all these
activities tie into the Distinguished Club Plan. With
the addition of our newest member - Nate Garapati - at
our final meeting in June, we completed the goal for
"Four more new members" ... our ninth and final goal.
By completing nine of the ten goals, and ending the year
at 20+ members, we earned the designation "President's
Distinguished" for the second year in a row. |

Angie Flinn elected
District Governor, 2005-2006 Lennox
International Toastmasters is proud to be the home club
of Angie Flinn, District 50 Governor for the 2005-2006

the development opportunities available in the

Lennox International
presented with special District Governor's Citation
Lennox International, Inc. has long recognized the
benefit Toastmasters can provide to its employees.
Since January 1992, LII has hosted club #8569, Lennox
International Toastmasters, and allowed the group to use
corporate facilities for meetings.
Over the years, LII's generosity has extended out
into the community. When their new corporate
campus was built, which included a state-of-the-art
Learning Center, they began allowing District 50 to make
use of the facilities as well. Numerous training
events and meetings were made possible by the generosity
of LII.
On May 20, 2006, District 50 Governor Angie Flinn
presented a special citation to LII for their ongoing
support of communication and leadership development in
both the corporation and in the community.
Representing LII's Human Resources, Laura Edney was on
hand to receive the award.
Lennox International Toastmasters is both proud and
grateful to have a home on the LII corporate campus! |

Jim Key named 2003
World Champion of Public Speaking Lennox
International Toastmasters is proud to be the home club
of Jim Key, 2003 World Champion of Public Speaking.
From the time he joined in December of 1999, Jim
showed a strong interest in speech competitions.
He swept the District Humorous Speech contest in the
Fall of 2000, taking first place honors with his speech
entitled, "Makes Me Stronger".
In 2001, Jim turned his sights to the International
Speech Contest. He made it all the way to the
World Championship of Public Speaking in Anaheim, where
he came in 2nd place.
In 2002, Jim once again competed in the International
Speech Contest, and once again made it to the World
Championship of Public Speaking in San Antonio ... and
once again, came in 2nd place.
But the third time was the charm for Jim. In
2003, in Atlanta, Jim out-spoke the best of 200,000
members and was named the World Champion of Public
Speaking.
